The normal operating temperature of XLPE insulated power cable conductors is 90°C. XLPE cables not only have excellent electrical properties, high operating temperature, and large transmission capacity, but also have the advantages of simple structure, small outer diameter, light weight, convenient installation and use, and unrestricted laying and falling. XLPE insulated cables are divided into low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage according to the use environment. They are usually laid indoors, outdoors, in pipelines, cable trenches and loose soil. They can withstand a certain laying traction, but they cannot withstand external mechanical forces.
The company mainly produces high-voltage cross-linked cables below 35 and 10 kV, steel wire armoured cables, aluminum alloy cables, polyvinylidene edge power cables, control cables, image sleeve cables, various mining cables, flame retardant, fire resistant, waterproof, high temperature resistant cables, overhead lines, cloth wires, low-smoke halogen-free flame retardant radiation resistant cross-linked wires, PVC cable particles, copper tape and other cable accessories; It can also design and produce wires and cables with high technical content and high technological difficulty according to the user's no demand, and can also produce products according to the standards of other countries.
1. Rated voltage: Uo/U:3.6/6kV, 6/10kV(11kV), 12/20kV(24kV), 19/33kV, 26/35kV(35kV).
2. No. of core: Single-core or three cores.
3. The highest allowed operating temperature of conductor for long-term working is 90oC. In short-circuit (Max. long-term is no more than 5 seconds). The highest temperature for a conductor is no more than 250ºC.
4. D.C. resistance of the conductor complies with the stipulations of 3.6/6kV, 6/10kV(11kV), 12/20kV(24kV), 19/33kV, 26/35kV(35kV).
5. The environment temperature should be no lower than 0oC when lay. Otherwise, it should be preheated.
6. The cable is laid without a horizontal drop limit.
7. Working Frequency Voltage Test: 3.5Uo/5min without puncture.
8. Partial Discharge Test: The discharge volume should be no more than 10pC under 1.73Uo for the cable.
9. Minimum Bending Radius: Single core - Fixed: 15 x overall diameter;3 core - Fixed: 12 x overall diameter
(Single core 12 x overall diameter and 3 core 10 x overall diameter where bands are positioned adjacent to joint or terminations provided that the bending is carefully controlled by the use of a former)
Note: The single-core armored cables are used for the D.C. system only. If used for the A.C. system, the magnetic isolation should be applied to the steel armor wires of non-magnetical materials that should be used.
Standards Of XLPE Insulated Power Cable
The products are mainly complying with IEC 60502 standard, also can be produced according to OEM requirements and other standards, such as BS standard, DIN standard, ASTM standard, etc.
Voltage grade is up to 35kv, cross-section area can be up to 400 sqmm (copper or alumimum conductor). Conductor long-time operating temperature is 90ºC. In short circuit, conductor highest temperature should be not more than 250ºC
