The structure of an ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) conductor consists of a central steel core surrounded by one or more layers of aluminum wires. The steel core provides mechanical strength and support to the conductor, while the aluminum wires provide electrical conductivity.
The steel core is typically made up of several high-strength steel wires twisted together to form a single stranded core. The number and size of the steel wires in the core depend on the size and capacity of the ACSR conductor. The steel wires are usually coated with a thin layer of zinc to protect them from corrosion.
The aluminum wires are stranded around the steel core in a helical pattern, forming one or more layers. The aluminum wires are usually made of high-purity EC-grade aluminum, which has high conductivity and is lightweight. The number and size of the aluminum wires in the layers also depend on the size and capacity of the ACSR conductor.
The steel core and the aluminum layers are held together by a thin layer of grease, which helps to prevent corrosion and minimize friction between the different components of the condutor. The entire structure is then coated with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion.
(1).The permissible long-time operating temperature for aerial conductor is 70°C.
(2).Under the circumstance that rare climate is occuring and ice coverage rate low in heavy ice area, the biggest stress of cable at the lowest point of the sag should not exceed 60% of the short-time destructive power.
(3).When connecting conductors, the conductor beside the connecting tube can't be prominent.Otherwise, the force on the operating conductors will be unbalanced. After connectors are install, the connecting tube should be painted by moisture-proof varnish in order to protect it from corrosion.
(4).Under installaion, the arc downing stress of all the conductors should be the same. With in the permissible distance of crossing buildings or dropping to the ground, the stress can be 10-15% higher than regular stress.
